👋

This is a portfolio supplement to my application for the Communications & PR Associate position at Norsk e-Fuel.

Making complex industries clear and engaging

For the past five years, I have worked with communications in a technical industry undergoing major change. As Communications Manager at buildingSMART Norway, I combine strategic planning with hands-on production across websites, social media, PR, newsletters, presentations, visual content and industry events.

Much of my work begins with technical expertise: understanding the subject, finding the relevant story and communicating it clearly without oversimplifying it. I would bring that experience to Norsk e-Fuel as you build a new industry for fossil-free aviation.

Experience matched to the role

Technical storytelling

I communicate topics such as standardisation, information management, digital collaboration and open standards. I work closely with technical experts to turn specialist knowledge into credible, accessible stories for audiences with very different levels of prior knowledge.

Stakeholder communication

I communicate with industry members, technical specialists, executives, public-sector organisations, partners and the media. I adapt the same subject to different needs while keeping the message accurate and consistent.

Strategy and execution

I own projects from idea to delivery. In practice, that can mean moving from a communications plan and expert interviews to writing the article, producing the visual assets, publishing across channels and evaluating the response.

Digital presence

I manage website structure, content and development alongside social media and newsletters. I also build interactive tools that make complex information easier to explore and strengthen the organisation's digital presence.

Selected work

What I would bring to the team

Clear, credible content

Strong writing and editorial judgement, with experience making technical subjects useful and engaging without losing precision.

Hands-on ownership

A proactive way of working across several priorities, from planning and coordination to writing, design, publishing and follow-up.

PR and media relations

Experience writing press releases and articles, supporting media enquiries and identifying stories that build visibility and trust.

Interdisciplinary collaboration

I work closely with management, boards, project teams and technical experts to gather perspectives, clarify milestones and prepare consistent communication for external stakeholders.

Events and brand tools

Experience coordinating conferences for a combined 800 participants, as well as webinars and workshops, and producing the presentations, templates and visual systems that support them.

Why Norsk e-Fuel

After five years at buildingSMART Norway, I am interested in applying my communications experience in a new technical field.

Norsk e-Fuel works with topics that are technically complex and relevant to a wide range of stakeholders. Communicating project developments, technology and market context clearly and consistently is therefore an important part of the company's work.

This is closely related to what I do today. I work with technical experts to understand specialist subjects, identify the relevant information and adapt it for different channels and audiences. I am used to combining communications planning with practical production across articles, presentations, visual content, websites and events.

The position offers a combination of responsibilities that suits my background, while giving me the opportunity to learn a new industry and contribute to Norsk e-Fuel's communications work.
